NAV Design Pattern of the Week | MSDN

As you might have read in Waldo’s blog post “Code is Poetry” there is an internal project within Microsoft about Patterns.

The PRS team was invited to join and a few weeks ago we had a meeting discussing their findings and ours.

One of the things they did was describing the Patterns that exist within Dynamics NAV. As you might know NAV has many implicit Patterns that exist but are not described or documented. Now this project of documentation is started and the first pattern is published on MSDN.

NAV Design Pattern of the Week: Blocked Entity

I’m very enthousiastic and see this as a very important first step to having explicit resusable Patterns in NAV the way we discuss as PRS team.
